Authority to leave a parcel for an Unattended Delivery

All the parcels we send out use track and trace facilities and require a signiture on delivery by default. So ideally the parcel will arrive when you are at the address you arranged, you sign for it and everything is complete.

However, if the delivery is attempted to your address and no one is able to sign for it then they simply transfer it to a nearby post office and it will be available for your collection for 14 days. You will left a "Sorry we missed you, please collect your order from....." type card, which will give you instructions on collection you order.

The advantage of this method is that it allows us to confirm that everything happens as it should between us and you. If for some reason the parcel goes missing in transit, we can very quick respond to that for you.

You might prefer for the parcel is left at your delivery address in your absense. This is called "Authority to Leave".

If you would prefer for the delivery person to leave the parcel for you in your absense, please just put an authority to leave note (and your prefered location for the goodies to be left) in the "Order Comments" box in the Order Confirmation section during the checkout process. For examples "If no one is home please leave by the front door". Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that the person doing the delivery will be specifically the goods exactly as instructed but, delightfully, we have used this authority to leave hundreds of times without any issues.

It is important to consider that if you give us authority to leave the consignment in your absence then we can no longer guarantee that you will receive your consignment, nor the other factors that can effect your parcel whilst it is sitting unattended - like rain, heat, dirt, damage, etc. In this situation, we can only guarantee delivery and quality up to the point that the track and trace tells us the goods were left for you.
